As President, North America Rob is responsible for leading Ausenco’s Minerals & Metals business across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. His focus is delivering innovative, value-add solutions to clients while empowering his team to deliver better ways of thinking.
An authentic and values-based leader, Rob believes people are at the core of delivering successful outcomes and strives to create highly trusting, engaged, and purpose-driven teams.
His global leadership spans the full project lifecycle—from strategy and business development to project delivery—underpinned by a strong track record in project development, and complex contract negotiations.
Prior to joining Ausenco, Rob was Vice President of Mining and New Energy at Kiewit, and has held executive positions at Worley and Advisian, including establishing and leading a front-end Mining, Minerals and Metals business globally. In addition to his focus on growth, strategy and major project delivery, he brings deep expertise in energy transition, environmental engineering and global project execution. Rob began his career in Australia as an Environmental Engineer, where he was seconded to Fortescue Metals' initial iron ore development project, before relocating to Canada.
He holds an MBA in Global Energy from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
Rob's commitment to the industry extends beyond his professional roles. He currently serves as a Director at Large of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and is actively involved in mentoring mid-level executives at Avatar Innovations Ignite and Studio programs.
