He is an engineer specialised in construction and project management for the mining sector. His renowned career includes mining infrastructure projects in Peru and Latin America, such us platforms, access roads, tailings dams, waste dumps, auxiliary dikes, and environmental remediation works.
As Construction and Quality Assurance Manager in our Lima office, Carlos leads field supervision teams, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and safety standards, as well as supporting comprehensive management to deliver efficient, safe outcomes aligned with client needs. With over two decades of experience, he brings strategic insight, technical rigor, and results-driven leadership. Throughout his career, he has contributed to flagship projects in Peru including Pucamarca, Antamina, Toromocho (Chinalco) and Minera Yanacocha, in Brazil, he supported the remediation works in Mariana. His background includes solid expertise in quality management under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ASTM standards, and PMBOK/PMI guidelines.
Carlos is recognized for his approachable leadership style, hands-on technical support to field staff, and commitment to quality and safety.
He holds a Civil Engineering degree from the National University of Cajamarca (Peru) and a master’s in project management (MPM) from the University of Technology of Peru (Peru).
